Water storage tank leaks

Problem, I have a leak. I think it's the water storage tank because it happens even when the macking is not in use. The tank will train in about an hour or so, leaving a puddle on the counter/floor. I thought of siliconing the tank in place, but would like to avoid this.
Any suggestions?

My water heater is leaking from the thermostat.can you tell me what the problem is?

Replace it immediately. That leak will grow faster then you think, We just had to replace our water heater and it was because of the sediment built up and rust out the bottom of the tank and the water has to go some where.
This has happened twice in 20 years. Good luck to you.

My hot water tank is continually leaking ? I shut off the valve at the top of the tank and it is still leaking ??

They wear out especially if they are older. You did not say what make and model it is but if there is water coming out the bottom it is time for a new unit. The leak is still happening because even though there is not supply pressure, gravity is pulling the water out the break in the liner.

What do I do if my hot water is low and sputters in my tub in 2005 jayco flight 5th wheel?

Greetings and good health to you.
Ok, so I'm guessing by low you mean quantity and not temp, correct?
Does the cold water sputter as well? If so, most likely bad pump but we'll go with it just being the hot water for now.
Does the hot water act the same way on the other sink faucets? If not, the hot water is flowing freely without sputter, the problem will most likely be in the tub's hot water valve (knob) or the shower attachment. You can replace these rather easily.
If your hot water is low in quantity and sputtering only on the hot, then your hot water tank is not getting enough water to it which will cause it to be "low" and sputter as there isn't any water in there to pull from. If this is the case, we need to figure out what is causing the hot water tank to not have water in it.
Your pump is obviously working as you are only having issues with the hot water. Since using the hot water would normally use what hot water is sitting in the tank and thus pull in fresh water to heat up as the hot water exits. This would be the case if you are using the on board water storage and not hooked up to a hose for your water supply.
So, if this is the case, we need to find out where/why the water is not drawing in from the water storage to the hot water tank. First off, locate both tanks and make sure there isn't a valve on the water line that may be turned off or almost off. Check those water lines for any breakage or leaks. If not, if there are two lines coming out of the water storage, one for the cold and the other for the hot, see if you can notice anything in the water tank that may be blocking the "hot" line.
If all that is well, lets look at the water heater itself. I'm guess you would have noticed if this was leaking which is why I waited until now to bring it up. If you go outside and open the panel, does it look like it could have been leaking? Look at the plug (this is where your heating element is located) at the bottom center of the tank. Does it feel damp or can you see streaks going down from there? If unsure, hook up your hose to the water intake and turn it on. Watch the tank from the outside and see if it starts leaking. If it does, bad plug (heating element) easy and cheap to replace.
Once you see there is no leaking coming from the hot water tank, lets take out the heating element to make sure it is filling up. First shut off the water flow. You'll need a large adjustable wrench or if you happen to have that big of a socket, go for it. Remove the element. Water should start coming out as you unscrew it. Once you remove the element, water should flow freely out until empty.
Now, with the plug out, turn the water back on and see if it flows out of the tank. This will show flow is good up to this point.
Ok, so if there are no leaks thus far and the hot water tank is filling up when you hook up a hose, then we need to look and the connection line going from the tank to the rest of the faucets. Put the plug back in. Turn the water on again and follow the lines from the tank to the faucets looking for leaks.
Once you do all this, you should have an idea of what is happening where and possibly how to fix it.
Let me know how it turns out.

Drain pan filling up. I emptied the pan and about 24 hours later its full again. We have ice and water in the door the freezer is cold just pan filling

If your evaporator fan is working properly the water would evaporate back into your home or business. If the evaporator fan was not working the freezer would not freeze and fresh food would spoil. That is way too much normal condensate unless there is a leak around the door seal or leak in the cool water supply tank storage or filter area. Not knowing the model number I would think you may have a drain opening under the crisper drawer that leads to pan. And think it may be a good idea to turn water supply off until sure of the source. I am having problems with the connections of my hot water heater. The connection of the cold water to the water tank leaks around the connection. When I tighten it the pipe twisted and it started...

Remember, that COLD water might cause condensation as it nears the Hot Water tank--

However, you seem pretty sure it was leaking-- so-- What type of piping are we working with: Copper, Plastic, or what?

Copper is the best-- but requires soldering fittings-- are you equipped to do that?

Plastic has shrink and expand problems around a Hot Water tank, and might be why you have the leak?

Tell us more, -- how far do you want to get into this?

It occasionally leaks water - maybe a quart, leaves a puddle in the middle of the floor and I can see that it came somewhere from the heater, but not where because it is not leaking from anyplace. I have...

Here are a few tings to look for:
When COLD WATER comes into the heater, it might cause sweating of the Cold water line, if the humidity is high in the house? This is usually in summer time only-- when the humidity inside the house is higher..

Another possible place, is the relief valve:
If you have a check valve or two in the system, that ends up trapping all the COLD water in the tank, as it goes thru its heating cycle, -- the Cold water expands, and has to be relieved-- Thus the relief valve will spit out a puddle of water keeping the pressure at a safe level.
(However-- usually the system has a drop pipe coming out of the relief valve-- so likely you would have said that the puddle was at the bottom of the drop pipe-- and you probably would have suspected it..)

However-- Do these suggestions give you some ideas of where the water puddle is coming from ?

Inside gas tank all rusted. what should I do? where can I buy a replacement? Joe

I do not think you need new tank, unless this one is leaking. Rust indicates that you have very dirty fuel supply or leave tank often exposed to the elements, or you did not drain it for winter storage. Now, to remedy existing situation:

1. stop engine, check if tank have any leaks anywhere, mark if any
2. remove hose below fuel valve and then remove fuelling cup
3. drain all fuel in the system
4. remove screws holding the tank
5. remove tank from the engine
6. wash tank internally with water, as last give it good flush with hot water, dry with compressed air do no water is left in or out, leave even on sun for few hours
7. check for presence of pinholes, failed welds, leaks, if any are present, you can now safely repair this tank with normal or brass solder, there should be no danger as hot water and air removed all traces of fuel from the tank
8. if repair is not possible, then replace tank, any tank whihc can be mounted of similar dimensions will do, must have only similiar output valve diameter.
9. replace tank and connect all hoses
10. fill with new fuel

As I mentioned in intro, this is rather common problem which can easy be avoided, try every 10th fil add about 1/2 quart (250ml) of methylated spirit, it will "grab" water with it and will not distrub normal gasoline burning. do not use metho too often as it will create another problems, rusting of the exorst pipe and silencer...

Hope this solve you rproblem and allow you to use your equipment effectively in years to come.

It looks that water is leaking from the - Culligan water softner

Look down the tube (where the float assembly is) there should only be about 10-12" of water in there. For water to reach the brine tank over flow the tank would have to be 3/4 of water. Brine tanks can develop leaks over time if they were set on uneven ground or if any rocks or debris are under it. If there is no evidence of water running down the side of the brine tank this is the most likely cause. Also if it has been leaking for some time there will salt buildup around the brine tank. Check the water softener for any leaks also. At times a small leak from the softener will find it's way over to the brine tank and collect around the bottom of it.

Let me start out with an apology. I did not ask my question very well - and you did not answer it as I needed.
If you wish, we MAY be able to communicate in your native language. We can do most indian languages, Turkish, Ukranian and some Russian - as well as Spanish. If any of those are easier for you - please feel free to use any of them.

The Machine storage tanks are 2 - one clean water, one dirty water.
I understand that, when OFF, no leaks happen.
I understand that when on a leak comes from "the side". Also, water comes from the bottom.

So, water comes out near the bottom brushes (even without trigger). Then, with trigger, MUCH water comes out near bottom brushes. Am I correct so far?

Water out the side concerns me. I am guessing that the bottom of the clean storage tank may have a small leak.
I am also guessing that the trigger valve (located in the small opening behind the black rubber seal that the clean water tank rests on) is not closing all of the way - or is broken (cracked).

Can you please remove the clean water tank and inspect the trigger valve with a torch (flash light). Can you see it open/close as you operate the trigger? Is it broken, cracked, or dirty?
If yes then it must be replaced. If no, the the storage tank is bad and must be repaired.

You inspect all of these things and you should be able to determine the failure. THEN, I an help you repair the failed item.

Water Tank leaks all over the floor

This happened to me the second night of use.  Water all over the carpet and a dripping vent. I called customer service and they told me to remove the tank and filter, and run unit dry for an hour or so. Then restart it.  Worked fine after that.  I think we may have bumped it which is said to be the cause of most leaks.  Bummer is that after 5 night of use the grip on water tank slipped and the tank is in pieces.
