Question about Epson ACULASER CX11NF All-In-One Printer
This happened to my wife. She solved it by putting slight upward tension on the panel while closing it. It appears to be nothing to do with the internal mechanism, just a slight misalignment of the panel itself. It was frustrating us for about 30 minutes however!

It took me a while to figure that a relatively hard slam was all it needed. No gentle touches here.

I agree, don't force anything. I had that problem, but I would shift the back door upward as I close and it goes in with no problem.
