There is also a reset button on the side at the bottom. Good luck.

Re: vaccum wont work

On mine, the motor wont turn on, but the belt turns. i found out that it is the power switch, but your best bet is to go to a vacuum repair business and order the part. (if it is under a year old it should be covered under warrenty).

Re: vaccum wont work

If you have suction, then the motor is ok. You may have a bad brush roll, or the belt is so stretched, it won't turn the brush roll under load.

Why does my vacuum leave a trail of hair on my floors when it's being pulled backward but suction up fine when it's going forward?

It is because the belt is worn and stretched. when you go forward there isn' t as much resistance and the brush can turn and pick up, but when you go back there is more resistance and doesn't pick up. You simply need to replace the belt. Here is the belt you need:

Yes, you need to replace the belt. You should actually change this belt every year. Here is a link to the belt you need and the manual which has instructions:

The brush roll on my Eureka Bagless The Boss 4 dimension cleaning vaccum itsn't working. How do I fix it?

Take either the plate over the brush roll off, if it doesn't come off, then the top cover comes off, should be 2 or 3 screws on the top to remove. Then you can get to the belt and brush roll. Check the brush roll, make sure the ends turn freely, if not replace it. The belt is either broke or stretched to the point that it won't turn the roll, replace it.
