Most likely thing would be your tracking on the video head is out, most video players have controls to adjust the tracking

Picture rolls when view finder is fully open. When partially closed it stops rolling. Sometime it stops rolling when view finder is slowly opened to full position.

Most likely a ribbon cable with a bad connection on one or more of it's conductors. It requires dismantling the camera to expose both ends of the cable to check the plastic clamp connectors to this cable on both ends. Another possibility is a partially damaged ribbon cable making intermittent contact. If it's the cable, it requires a replacement. Do you feel you are capable of this level of service? If unsure, then best to leave to those who are comfortable with this type of work. Nimsgame

VHS Video Tape - Picture Roll.

Picture roll is caused by the frame rate being out of sync with the play back device. If the tape was recorded at say 25 f/m and is being played back at 26f/m. If you can, adjust the frame rate until the picture stands still.

Same as sherpi here, player was fine, and all of sudden started rolling and never stops. Rolls with or without a disc in it...seems to play the discs fine, but never quits rolling.

Picture is Rolling..stops after some warm-up

I have seen this many times. There is a 9 volt regulator on the small signal board that causes this. The regulator goes bad and the 9 volts starts dropping, especially at start-up when the regulator is cold. If the voltage is below 8 volts then the picture gets dark and the vertical becomes unstable, with the picture squeezing down and/or rolling. As the regulator warms up the voltage starts rising back towards 9 volts and the symptoms start clearing up. There are 3 regulators in a row on the board and the regulator in the middle is always the bad one. Replacing that regulator should cure your problems but it should be replaced by someone experienced in servicing Mitsubishi projection TV's because pulling the chassis out is quite tricky.

Akai DHT300 screen rolling

The picture is rolling because there is no sync signal in the composite output. Are you using the RCA jack or the S-video output? Is there another small TV you could hook up for a test to see if the problem appears there? If it does, then the Akai has the issue and needs to be examined further. If not, the TV input may have an issue. You didn't say what the TV is but there is the possibility the video input is looking for external sync from the DVD but that's a bit of a stretch. Can you feed a different source into the video input of the TV to see if you get the same result? Hope this helps.
