I apparently got this wet according to the Telus store when I sent it in, they said it'd cost 180 to fix due to water damage. Now I took a look at it, its brand new, theres no water damage, I believe It's a software problem but im not sure.
Anyway the problem is whenever I start it, it displays the start logo like the telus logo, then reloads it to the telus logo again and again and again... Over and over, and the only way to stop it is to remove the battery.
Oh tell me about it!. Geat phone, but now mine just displays the telus logo as well, and I know i didn't get mine wet. Taking the battery out is the only way to turn off now. Of course this happened no more then a week after my repair agreement ran out. Had to buy another phone at full price, now the 8100 sits on a shelf with all my contacts on it and no way to get them :-(.
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Had the same problem with mine and sent it back since it's under warranty. Taylor did not need a receipt and I just received a new scale today, model 5742 although it cost me just about $20 to ship it back and that's UPS ground! The scale retails for $29.99 on amazon.com. Good luck!
I had to go to the Alltel store and apparently my phone had gotten a little wet, somehow. I do not know how though. And because it somehow got wet the warranty was voided and I had to pay $50 (only 50 cause I had insurance) for them to give me a new one.
Send the MP3's to yourself in a message. The MP3 should be 30 seconds or less. One you receive the MP3 that you have sent to yourself, look under OPTIONS, you should see something that will let you save it as a ringtone.
I do not have a suggestion for you, only sympathy. I have been putting mp3s on my phone for about 3 months and there are always a few that seem to be corrupted. They will either not play or more commonly cause my phone to reboot. (even though they work perfecly when burned to cd or played through vlc or winamp) It goes to the telus startup screen and stay there until the phone flashes off and back on. I have tried re-encoding the mp3s with no change in performance. I wonder if anyone knows of a different media player for this phone. Have you called Telus? I know they are a pain to deal with but there may be options. Alternatively I might suggest flashing the firmware and starting fresh.
this is not an issue with tv or anything else, the xbox is defective, everyone i know that owns a 360 has had to return or rebuy the console at least once or twicee, i recomend returning iit to the store you bought it from and exchanging it for a working unit, it'll be sent back for repairs anyway but then you get a working unit faster and if you send it to get repaired yourself there is a good chance it's gonna cost you, maybe just shipping but microsoft has horrible support for all of their products, they wanted me to pay to have the xbox i bought brand new fixed plus shipping to and from, because the dvd drive didn't open from day one, i returned it to ebgames and they gave me a working one on the spot. FYI if it were an issue with the tv or compatability then you would not get video or distorted audio/video or something of that nature, the xbox would still stay powered on.
