This is not an easy question to answer but here it go's it depends on how many BTU's your airconditioner puts over. The size of your room. How well it's insulated. If theres heavy traffic in and out of the house. If it's just a single roon the the ideal setting is probably around 65 degrees make sure your filter is clean freon charged............enjoy the summer! : )

How does the heater part of the CPN12XH9-E work? Does the hoses need to be in window still?

Yes, hose needs to connect to outdoors, since it operates as a heat pump. You'll notice cold air blowing out the exhaust when in heating mode, and hot air blowing out the exhaust in cooling mode - unit exhausts opposite of temperature you want.

I was just given a Haier air conditioner model HWR05XC7. It is not manual controlled. How do you operate it?

Unfortunately, the model number you listed is not a current Haier model. However, the electronic controlled unit, use a hand held remote control to operate and set the functions of the AC unit.
Call Haier America Customer Support 877-337-3639. As the may be able to help you and provide you with an Owners Manual.

Hope this helps you. Please let me know. Thanks.

What does E1 mean when it is showing up on a Homewell Portable Air conditioner?

1. Power down the air conditioner using the "power" button on the front
panel.
2. Unplug the air conditioner from the wall socket.
3. Hold the front panel "power" button down and plug the air
conditioner in. Continue to hold the power button down as the machine
goes through a brief test sequence (fan & compressor each come on
briefly, etc). There is a "beep" sound at the end of the test sequence,
and the machine will be off. At this point, you can release the power
button.
4. Unplug the air conditioner.
5. Plug the air conditioner back in.
6. Congratulations! You should now be able to operate the air
conditioner normally for another 720 hours, but only if you followed
the instructions above EXACTLY.

Haier air conditioner

On the Compressor? - Theres a run (R) that gets the red wire from the run capacitor or line side voltage, theres a start (S) that gets the yellow wire from start capacitor and theres a common (C) that gets the black wire which connects to neutral or common. If you ohm it out to identify the terminals the highest resistance is between (S) and (R) second is between (S) and (C) and least resistances is between (R) and (C). Hope this helped. GL!
