Hi,
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.

Can I download another language for my tomtom xl

Hi.

There are several ways to change the language settings on the TomTom One.

If you do a reset using the reset hole, after restarting the TomTom, you will get again the initial setup page. Page 8 will ask you which one is your favorite language for using the TT.

Another way to change TT language is using TT menu to change language. You can follow the step by step instructions given on this page. Click here to open the link.

Regards.

We want to reset the clock from am to pm or start beginning questions all over again.

1. Turn on the TomTom unit. 2. Tap the screen to bring up the menu. 3. Tap the "Change Preferences" icon 4. Keep hitting the arrow to go to the next page. Clock setting is on page 6 of the preferences dialog. 5. If the Set Clock option is greyed out, you will need to perform a system reset and then perform these steps over again.
To reset the system, start with the power off. Then, hold down the power button for about 15 seconds, until you see the TomTom logo appear on the display. When the logo appears, release the power button. After this reset, you should be able to turn the unit back on and proceed with your setup from scratch.

TIME IS AN HOUR OFF

If you have a picture of your current or last position Tap on the middle of the screen.

Then

In that main menu tap on change preference

Then

You will see a blue arrow pointing right.
Keep pressing it until you see an icon named set clock and change the time there, if you see a sync button do not press it since it may sync with a satellite 1hour infornt or behind.

Thanks,
Pabz

Set time

Go through the menu and you will see options for time or clock. It is probably set on 24 hr clock and this is why it is 12 hours out. If you have a choice of 12 or 24 then choose 12. If you have to use 24 hr ensure that you reset the time as 1300 hrs for 1pm,1400 hrs for 2pm etx.It will be shown as "time format"

Hi, just bought a one xl, have tried to set up my home address and I pressed a wrong button, Italy instead of u.k., got up 'change home location' on the screen and selected street and house number, tapped...

age has nothing to do with new technology,

if the language in One XL is Italian then use google translate

TomTom One XL manual page 33
Tap Change preferences in the Main Menu.

(When you first start using your TomTom ONE XL, not all the buttons will be shown in the menu. Many buttons and some more advanced features are hidden because you will not need these features very often. To see all of the buttons and features, tap "Show ALL menu options" button in the Preference menu.)

then

TomTom One XL manual page 36
Tap "Change language" button to change the language
You can choose from a wide range of languages. When you change the language, you are also given the opportunity to change the voice.

if your one is not One XL any TomTom manual can find here

Hope this help
