Question about Singer 132QRFB Mechanical Sewing Machine

1 Answer

I have singer sewing machine. The black casing the bobbin fits in is supposed to move when sewing, I know, but this seems to move excessively and does not fit in tight enough so that when sewing, it slips down at an angle and then the bobbin thread doesn't feed right. Why would it do this and what should or can I do?

The black bobbin case that the bobbin sites in is not supposed to move at all, on the right hand side of the bobbin case you will see two screws, if you slacken them off you can push the guide bar closer to the bobbin case leaving enough thread to pass through the gap.

I recently acquired a Singer Zig Zag model 457. The machine was not picking up the cotton from the bobbin so I took out the bobbin and the bobbin casing. Now I cannot get the casing to fit back ptoperly so...

there are little tips on the 'backside' side of the bobbin casing you just have to wiggle the casing around keepingin mind that the back side needs to fit into place for the rest to drop on in. then you have to get just a little forceful with the the little black brace that should snug the bobbin casngback into place and keep it secure

The bobbin case is not supposed to move. It should only have a little bit of wiggle room so there is enough clearence for the thread.

Singer 4562 t bobbin case won't fit properly, what am I doing wro

Make sure the bobbin case sets sort of on top and not under the ridge of the metal ring. There is a small latch on the upper left of the bobbin case. It is metal. rotate the latch to cover the bobbin case and this should stabilize the case without making it immobile

unscrew the black plate that holds the bobbin case in place and move it over (to the left) ust a tiny bit. It still needs wiggle room, but moving that plate should help it stay in better.

The bobbin case on my Singer Inspiration 4210 sewing machine keeps popping up in the back causing my thread to bunch up underneath. What is causing this? Is the bobbin case in wrong? How is it supposed...

From what I gather on other sites, your thread has to be threaded under tension.... You have to make sure you hear a click when your bringing your thread down to the bottom of the "arm". Also, I thought the bobbin case was rather loosely held in its place, I adjusted this by unscrewing the black plate and moving it over just a smidge. The bobbin is supposed to have some wiggle room, but it kept popping up and making the tiny adjustment seems to have done the trick....for now...
