How many times this standby/power light blinks at one time switch ON? Count it carefully. These blinks are fault indication, and known as blinking codes. From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON; you can get an idea about the faulty circuit stage inside the TV. This will make repair easy. For more information, check the link

The power light doesn't seem to blink but it takes pushing the power button a few times for the TV to turn on. But once on only the screen blinks in and out. I posted a video which shows this weird image coming from right hand when its about to black out.

Why are all the lights on LCD screen on?

How to troubleshoot and fix video problems
Here are some tips and tricks for troubleshooting and fixing laptop video problems. Video issues are very common within portable computers and with the following tips you should be able to detect and eliminate basic laptop video problems.
Laptop LCD screen has a faint image.

all-lights-lcd-screen-4ztirbadqll2ypvmakqp10pq-2-0.jpg
Look at the LCD screen very closely and check if you can see a faint image on the screen. It's possible that the LCD lid close switch stuck in the "closed" position and the backlight stays off even when you open the LCD screen or turn on the laptop. The switch turns off the backlight when you close the LCD display to save the laptop battery power. Check the LCD lid close switch. Usually it is a small plastic pin located close to the LCD hinges. Try to tap on the switch a few times to turn on the backlight. If after tapping on the LCD lid close switch the backlight stays on, you fixed the problem.
It is also possible that after tapping on the LCD lid close switch the backlight works fine, you see a normal video on the screen for some time and then the backlight turns itself off again. In this case I would blame the FL inverter board. Try to reseat cables on both end of the FL inverter to make a better contact between the cables and the FL inverter board. If it doesn't help I would try to replace the FL inverter board.
Laptop LCD screen is solid white color.

Most likely it is just a bad connection between the LCD display and the system board. I would try reseating the video cable connector on the back of the LCD screen first and check if it fixes the problem. After that I would try reseating the video cable connector on the system board. I would also try reseating cables if there is no video on the LCD screen at all.

Try to connect the LCD screen to an external monitor. If the external video is fine, you have a problem with the LCD screen or the LCD video cable. You can try to fix the problem by reseating the video cable on the back of the LCD and on the system board.
If you see the same garbled video output on the external monitor most likely it is not the LCD screen problem. In this case the system board (with onboard video) is bad or the video card is bad.

Horizontal blinking lines appear on the screen of Sony Vaio VPCEL 10EL

Possible cause:

1. Video card failure.
2. Bad connection between video cable and LCD screen.
3. Bad LCD screen.
4. Faulty video cable.

Possible troubleshooting steps and repair solution:

1. First of all, test the laptop video output on the external monitor. If you see same flashing lines running through the image on the external monitor, you have a problem with the video card. If flashing lines appear only on the laptop screen, the failure is not related to the video card.

2. Just in case, try re-seating the video cable connectors on the motherboard/video card and maybe the back of the LCD screen. It' s not likely but possible that connection is loose and reconnecting the cable will fix the flashing lines.

3. If re-seating the cable connectors doesn't help, most likely you have a faulty LCD screen. The LCD screen has to be replaced.

4. If replacing the screen doesn't help, try replacing the video cable. It's very unlikely that this problem is related to the video cable but there is a slight possibility of that.

Hi

If the LCD screen is blinking most of the tiem its an LCD problem and LCD needs to be replaced but ther are cases that it only needs a driver update from your video card. I recommend you do that first. Try to call Toshiba to check and give you the updated driver for your video card. If problem persists after updating the driver sadly you need to change your LCD as they suggested. Thanks

Blinking with no signal video displayed, also blinking picture after started windows

"no signal" means exactly that. You monitor is not receiving signal from your PC. Recheck the video cable on both the monitor and the PC, make sure they plugged in properly.. Also try another monitor if you have it, and if it works with that monitor than more likely you have a frequency sync problem. In this case, using another monitor that works, and try resetting the video to basic 60Hz. In Windows, Start->Control_Panel->Display. Change the display resolution to the lowest, apply the setting, then change the monitor back to the questionable one. If it still doesn't work, then your video processor on your monitor is bad; RMA it if it's still warrantied.

Blinking picture problem, try suggestion above.

No video blinking powerbutton

Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply, blown fuses, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed DELL monitors to get some ideas what to look for: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums
Post back what you see inside so we can guide you further and it will help out other people in the future also.

My monitor blinks at random intervals at 1024x768 resolution but never at 800x600.

Your Video Card doen't support the 1024X768 that is why your first resolution is blinking and your second resolution is staying on.

Screen Problems with my Laptop

hi dear

1. That can be connection related problem. I check connection between the video cable and the LCD screen, try reconnecting the video cable. It’s necessary to take apart the display panel, unplug the video cable from the connector on the back side of the LCD screen and then plug it back in. In some cases reseating this connection helps. 2. If reconnecting the video cable doesn’t help, here’s what I do in this case. While the display panel is still disassembled, I turn on the laptop and wait until image appears on the screen. Then I move the video cable a little bit without touching the LCD screen. If moving/touching the video cable affects image on the screen, it’s possible that there is a problem with the cable. Apparently there’s a short somewhere inside the cable. In this case, replacing the video cable may fix the problem.
3. If reconnection the cable doesn’t help and moving/touching the cable doesn’t change image at all and the only way to get better picture is moving/touching the LCD screen itself, apparently there is a problem with the LCD and it has to be replaced.

oke
