In the back of the freezer you need to pull off the back panel and look at the coil. When looking at the coil it should have a LIGHT frost on it.
Not a caked on amount of ice or nothing at all. Also make sure that the thermostat is turning on and off the comppressor. But this problem sounds more like a defrost problem with the heater defrost and not the thermostat

Yesterday morning I noticed that the unit was buzzing. The refrigerator door had been left open and the temperature inside was 70 degrees. The freezer temperature was 20 degrees. This morning, 24 hours...

You have condesation built up in your freezer whereby the evaporator fan or the vents are most likely blocked off.

Turn fridge off. Empty freezer and either put a pot of boiling water inside freezer or with the aid of a hair dryer try to defrost the freezer. If you are able to remove the back panel on the freezer that would be ideal as you can directly target the frost.
Good luck

There is water leaking down from the ceiling of the refrigartor and pooling in crisper drawer. It is a top freezer model

The drain is clogged that goes down to the bottom of the fridge during defrost. What's the model number?

Refrigartor not makinc ice not getting cold

You didn't mention whether you can hear the compressor running or not so we'll have to guess.
There are a couple of things that can go wrong:
- Compressor failed - Cooling fan for coils not running  - Thermostat failed - Refrigerant lost (perhaps from moving it rough?)

Freezer stuck on -20 degrees

well it depends on how long the door was open for during the cleaning, your evap coil was unable to cool the unit due to the warm air coming in, that will cause the evap coil to over frez . un-plugging the unit may work but the best thing to do is force it into a defrost you can do that by pressing and holding the ice key on the key pad for 10 sec or till you hear the freezer shut down this will thaw the ice on the coil and the unit with come back on within 20 to 30 Min's
