Question about Coleman Roadtrip Grill LXE 9949-750

Gas coming out near burner knobs

When you turn the burners on to light the grill the gas comes out from around the burner handles instead of the burners where it should.  Empties the propane cylinder in a very short time.

We have the same problem with our roadtrip. This only happens when we use the left burner. The right one seems OK, but we'd love to repair this. The grill is in Costa Rica. I see that parts are available. I think we need a new burner assembly. Do these replacement parts come with instructions?

The right hand side burner does not ignite fully. Only get a partial flame. Is this due to the gas leaking at the burner knob or could the nozzle be blocked?

Put on a new tank and when turned the knob to start, the gas shot out (loud sound of gas) in the area of the burner knobs in the front----of course, strong smell of gas permeated the area. Turned all off, removed the tank and reconnected---same problem. Maybe the pin in the connector between the gas tank and the grill became faulty? Maybe the pin is pushing too far into the gas tank and letting too much propane out, rather then a steady stream?

The issue is with the valve that is connected to the knob. it is poorly designed. To fix it take off the lid assembly and remove the front black cover that covers the knobs. remove the almost diamond shaped metal piece that the knob shaft runs through. put on your gas tank and adjust the valve to a position where no gas comes through.. might be lucky or you will have to replace that valve.

Troubleshooting nexgrill charcoal gas grill

did you replace the battery in the igniter?
less than 100 degrees indicates a safety has engaged, close gas valve, open burner valves.....wait 5 minutes. keep lid open, close burner valves, open gas valve until you hear the regulator click
turn on "ignition burner" and ignite (with switch or at specified port).
After this part is lit open other burners one at a time , waiting until each lights before opening the next.

Side burner lights but not main burner on gas grill

If you smell gas, don't attempt to light the burner. Instead, turn the gas off and inspect the fuel tank, lines and burners once the smell of has has cleared. Always grill where you have adequate ventilation and perform all repairs only after the grill has fully cooled from use.

Hi.. have a 300 series weber we bought only last year.. I cannot get the burners to come on together.. I can manually light the inner one but as soon as I try and manually light the outer one... it will...

More than likely, the grill's regulator is malfunctioning. To solve this, turn the LP Gas Tank Valve OFF and disconnect the hose. Turn the grill burners ON, wait 2 minutes and turn them OFF. Reconnect the hose to tank and open the tank valve VERY, VERY SLOWLY (Slow motion, slow) Once the valve is open all the way, light the inner burner first and turn it to the highest setting. Does the flame height look correct? If so, light the outer burner and turn to HIGH. Do both flame heights now look correct? If so, you solved the problem.

If you are using an insert-able gas canister, instead of a 20Lb LPG Gas tank, do the same thing as above, except remove the canister. Since there will be no hose/regulator assembly involved.

To provide further assistance, in case you have misplaced your Owners Manual, I have included a link to it that you can download and print for future reference, if you like.

Hope this helped you to solve the problem. Please let me know and Happy Grilling!!

I have a fire Magic A660 drop in grill (natural gas) and when I light the burner (2 of the 3 burners) the flame doesn't travel all the way around the burner. Gas is coming out of all the ports. I can light...

I don't know how old your grill is, but as grills age, the gas ports in the burners begind to clog and corrode. Flame travesl around the burners like dominoes when you stand them up and knock them down, one port lights the next, etc. All burners light on just one side and there are ports that are designed to take the gas from the outside of the burner to the inside and from one side to another. Depending on how clogged the ports are, you can clear them using a straightened paper clip, or a drill with a bit. Be careful not to make the gas ports larger.

My grill burners burn unevenly and usually too high. Adjustment?

If this is a natural gas grill, check to see if it has a regulator on the gas line. If it does not, you can install a regulator to reduce the gas flow.

Gas does not flow when you turn on gas knob when you turn on the gas valve on the tank and then turn the knob for gas to get to the grill, just before you hit the ignighter no gas comes out

make sure there isn't a designated burner for lighting. sometimes there will only be 1 burner the grill will light. start with all them off, turn on the tank. the grill will have a little picture of a flame next to the burner knob. turn it to high and try lighting

Grill mysteriously not working, gas tank full, can't smell or hear gas come to burner

Go to Dome Depot. Lowes or whomever your large hardware store is and get and new regulator and connecting kit (it is probably the regulator), they are not expensive. If this does not do it, it may be the valve on the broiler, but not likely.

Gas leaking behind the handles along perforated pipe

Spiders get into the gas line and spin their webs causing the gas flow to be interrupted. Take the burner off and carefully remove the web. Replace the burner and it will work just fine.
