Question about Audio Players & Recorders
Though I do not have schematics of RX-6042S receiver yet I can help you out to rectify problem.

Its the amplifier problem in the unit thats the problem.the amplifier is not holding the load .the amplifoier is located on the main board beside the r94 and r95 resistor on main board.replace it or get it replaced by a technician.
it is not too costly.
