Remote Control not working

take a digital camrea or a camrea phone point the remote sensor (the bit you would aim at your player) towards the lens of the camrea and look on the camrea/phone display press buttons on the remote can you see a flashing light coming from the sensor ?? if not its due too a flat battery or faulty remote if you do then its likely too be a fault with the player

try these:-
  • connect it to pc and on it
  • vaccum the barrel of lens
  • changing mem. card and batt. for 2min.
  • shake it.
  • on and off in different positions
  • hit the part near lens softly with palm (trust me this made mine work)

Lens errors (E18 Errors on older Canons) are fairly common. Usually it's sand or grit interfering with the lens extension mechanism. Or the camera's been dropped with the lens extended. Or the camera has been powered on, but the lens had been blocked preventing its extension. Or the battery ran down with the lens extended ...

Here are some things that you can do to try to correct it. They only seem to work for less than 50% of the lens errors, but if the camera is out of warranty, they're worth a try.

My camera keeps on saying lens error and it wont turn off or on.

the lens error is usually a sign that the opening mechanism failed .
try to reset it manually (push VERY SLOW on the lens cilinder to help it close)
if it is an expensive camera you can send it to the manufacturer for repairs as a better and safer
solution.

My nikon D70 camrea keep displaying FE E flasing what does this mean?

Hey pitsL,
This message should mean that the lens aperture is not set to its smallest aperture which would be the largest # on the aperture ring. This message could also mean your lens is not a G or D type Nikkor lens, or it is a non cpu lens which means if this is the lens should only be able to be used in full manual mode and the exposure meter will not function. I hope this helps!

Sincerely,
Allan

i have the same problem ..
it was error 16 AND 21 .
im not entirely sure about the error 27 or any other
numbers ;
but i do know for a fact its because there
is something like dirt ; hairspray ; make up etc.
in the lens .
idk how to take the camera apart ..
but your best luck is to kind of jar your camera with your
palm or a book or something .
mine fell on the floor at first and was fixed ,
but today i dropped it in a little bit of sand and hasnt gone
back down yet .
im hoping i can fix it :/
let me know if any of you have any luck .

Lens Error, Restart

The following blog outlines some repair options for a lens error. They won't work for all cases, but they're worth a try if the camera's no longer under warranty:
