Question about Apple Audio Players & Recorders
It sounds as though your ipod either was dropped and the lcd is bad, or the ipod is just frozen in a weird state.
Press and Hold the Meny and Action buttons that is the top and center buttons, hold until your ipod reboots. see if the helps.
If not, do the step above and when you see the apple logo,
change to the play/pause and center button and try to get it into disk mode. this will allow you to mount it to iTunes and then do a Restore.
