TV WONT WORK (by 2 users)

After 3 wk vacation (not that it matters). TV will not come on. The power light comes on, there is that familiar spritz sound of a CRT getting juice/electrons or something, but no picture and no sound. Unplugged set from wall for 25min plus and go the same result. Same for all inputs and regardless of use of remote or controls at the TV.

I was in the set before and (with web assistance) fixed a 'bowtie' problem. This was about a year ago. So am prepared to get in and reset connections, possibly replace components / assemblies. At this point want tips on how to diagnosis and estimate cost to repair (my self).
