MP3 player something wrong

Hey, my mp3 player turns on but once it does it won't turn off. It will display the RAVE MP logo on the screen when it turns on and usually after a few seconds the logo will flash and it will display the main menu. The problem is, when I turn it on it'll show the logo, the logo will flash, but then it turns off by itself and makes this click sound and turns back on again and shows the logo, logo flashes and it does it again and again until it's plugged into a USB or it runs out of battery. Then if I go to charge it up, it'll turn on and do the same thing over and over again! I can't listen to my music on it, but my computer still will read it and I can still play songs on it that way, but when I disconnect the USB it does the same thing again! I've tried everything please help me!

This means that your unit is defective and is no longer working. The hard drive is bad.

I have bought 3 of these players. All of them worked for a while then had the eventual face/bug on the screen after turning the unit on. When the customer service number DID work, they said that the unit was defective and to return it to the store and get another.

This happened to me, like I mentioned, with 3 different units.

Windows xp wont recognize usb connection from rave. Is there a driver I need?

If you're using the retractable usb cable that came with the player, replace it. I had the same problem. XP recognized that there was a device, but couldn't open it. I was getting a "Driver not installed" error in device manager.

It's probably just the mp3 player's malfunctioning on you...something must have happened during shipping and handling to the store you got it from.

This slot is for an SD card. You use this to expand the amount of music you

Try a separate SD memory card (no bigger than 512mb). Also try replacing the battery if you haven't already. Mine has done this intermittantly since it was about a year old.
