I am having the same problem now with mine. It is not so bad that when I open the door, water comes out but it is enough in the drum to make me worry.

Slow pump out first you need a shop vac or a large mop for this operation lol if you have a shop vac turn it on wet pick up take the drain hose out of the drain pipe and open the door so you can hear then vacum all the water out of the washer you will hear when its done if you dont have a shop vac go to auto parts store and get radiator hose clamp remove bottom kick panel and if you did not vacum clamp the hose going to the tub from the drain pump will still get water but not as much still ya got to work fast then unscrew the front of the pump round piece with bar in the middle slide it out clean the screen then check to see if a forign object is blocking the impeller blades the mess is yours put the screen back and lock it down

Duet front load - water fills while door is open!

This is a leaking solonoid valve.
The valves are located just inside the machine where the water supply hoses attach.
  • Remove the power plug
  • Undo the top lid of the washer
  • The valves will have some internal pipes clamped on their outlets. Remove the pipes.
  • Dry the valve outlets with tissue.
  • Turn on the water supply to the washer (if it was off)
  • Watch the open valve outlets for seepage.

There may be between 1 and 3 valves depending on the model.
You should be able to replace the leaking valve quite easily.

Water has started pouring out from under my washer

Hello, you've indicated this problem only arrises during the rinse cycle, is that correct ? The leak doesn't occur during the wash cycle initial fill level ? I want to distinguish the difference because there has been a repair tip issued by whirlpool for the duet and sport washer's. This may be applicable to your machine. If it is indeed only during the rinse, the problem is within the door assembly. Specifically the glass and it's "seat" to the frame. Let me know, I'll watch for your reply. macmarkus :)

Water filled the tub above door seal when not running or turned on. Poured out when door opened.

most likly you sucked something into (auto) water leveler, try unplugging unit and check drain hose, also drain hose HAS TO DRAIN "UP" ATLEAST 36 INCHES, off of floor into sewer line, or it will back up into washer, thus not completely emptying last cycle, let me know if this helps, god bless

When machine is not in use, with door open, tub will have water

You have a faulty fill valve

If you want to check which one, try turning off the cold supply only before you go to bed

If the washer has water in it next morning it is the hot valve that has gone faulty if it is dry then it is the cold one

They are easy to change and can be bought from a number of suppliers

Whirlpool Duet GHW9100L pours water out of the soap dispenser dra

probable cause is there is an article of clothing that is stuck between the outer and inner tubs, in the area where the dispenser water and detergent enter the machine. you can run your hand around the rubber boot and you might be able to remove the article, it will be in the upper left part of the machine. if nothing can be found than you have a plugged up dispenser hose.
