I'm trying (frying!!) to integrate PC (Dell Desktop - for it's capacity to store my huge MP3 library) technology with Home Entertainment sound (AIWA CX-NAJ54U - for it's fantastic speakers). With some splicing skills, I managed to do this with my Marantz Receiver; going from Dell's speaker "Line Out" to the Marantz "Phono/Aux Input"--worked great, but the speakers I was using were shot. Friend gave me the AIWA (unfortunately w/o manual...my next project: making that a DEATH PENALTY offense!!!). Those speakers have THREE lines coming out of EACH speaker; therefore I have no idea how to connect them into the Marantz (too bad--the Marantz has aux capabilities to hook-up a recording studio!). The AIWA of course, supports those 3 lines, as it's their speakers. AIWA has one aux "Video/Aux", but it's not an aux in the true sense--connecting from my computer into that does nothing whatsoever. Any suggestions? Thanx for your time RE my question--Kasey
Sounds like the wiring for the speakers has been modified to bypass the crossover. Best to open up the speakers and see if there is a crossover. Both speakers should be wired to a crossover and the crossover wired to the speaker out on the amp. Crossovers can be bought from Jaycar in Aust or Madisound in US
