The microwave doesnt start, i know the start button works because i can press it and it selects options. the door closes properly and i can see that the switches work fine. What else can i check for?
This is usually caused by either a bad door switch, a loose door switch mount, or a problem on the control panel. Even though a door switch clicks, it may still be bad inside. If you or a friend decide to look into it, we have critical information on safety, disassembly and door switches at our site, linked here on Fixya: http://tinyurl.com/yzjozk You can find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number here: http://tinyurl.com/gv383

Sounds like the switches are okay.
Maybe there's a bad connection on the circuit board near the relay or the contacts inside the relay may be bad.
The relay I'm speaking of is a black palstic rectuangular object on the circuit board into which two wires are plugged.
If its internal contacts get carbonized, conductivity drops, and it can fail to start.
We replace these in some of the repairs we perform. Other times, there are bad connections on the circuit board on the leads of this relay or another part.
Your control circuit board is reference # 1655 in the diagram below. The objects shown sticking out on the back (right) side are relays.

Hi
If the fuse isn't the problem, check the door hooks and the door-release button. When these are broken, the door switch doesn't activate, so the oven can't work. You should check the internal door switches, the high voltage circuitry and the circuit board for this kind of problems. But for that you will need a certified technician to help you make these repairs.

I did review your guides about the switches. I actually opened the switches and did not see anything wrong with it. The metal peices insed contact each other. Does this still need to be replaced then?
Would you please elaborate on the "relay"? Thanks
where can i buy the relays
where can I buy relays?
Initially I lost so of the numbers on the key pad. Then in order to heat, i could only use "add 30 sec" . Now none of the functions work at all
Oven has gone "crazy"
With door closed, operating panel/ buttons do not work properly. Opening the door, suddenly, without pushing any buttons, oven turn on, tray starts to turn. Any suggestions? Thanks.
