Hello Lainy34,

Give this a try, turn off then back on. When on appears on the screen press and hold the "start/cancel" and the "on/off" at the same time until "D:off" appears in the display. It should be back to normal after that. Hope this fixes it for you.

Thanks,

The cold water is not working in my washing machine

Check the supply hose filter, and the filter on the intake of the solenoid. Switch the wires on the solenoid to see if rinse will put hot water into the machine, the contact at the timer may be going bad. While reversed, see if it puts cold water into the wash, that will test the solenoid.

My Bosch maxx6 takes very long on wash cycle

Possibly heater fault....if you set unit to, for example, a 40 degree wash, the machine will just keep washing unit it reaches selected temp, then drain and do the rinses. If the heater is open circuit then it will wash and wash and wash until the module times out because it is not getting there and continue to rinses, making the programs excessively long. (You may also find, if it has a display that it sit at 0.01 for a long time at the end of the cycle. Not sure of your model as you have not posted it, but if you go through the test below you can test the heater.
1. Put main dial to off
2. Press and hold start button whilst turning dial one click to left (easycare 30).
3. When display show 8.88 or two of the progress light come on, release the start button
4. Turn dial anticlockwise to 90 cotton (take the long way, NOT thru OFF or you'll have to start over)
5. Press start
The tub will fill a little and if the heater is ok, after a few minutes you will hear it 'kettling', the drum does not turn during this test.
If you have a meter that checks amp draw, if the heater is ok it should read around 9 amps.
Hope this helps

see the cause and fix it:
test the water inlet valve, is not coming power, test for voltage.
2)test the timer can be faulty, clean the contacts, loose wires, connector clean and tigh. very well.
3) see if you model has control board, read your instruction manual for some codes, and put to function auto diagnostic test.

My machine keeps bleeping to tell me the cycle is finished but will not begin another programme ?

1. Set the cycle knob to any "X" (reset) position
2. Press and hold the Pre-wash and the Start buttons at the same time. While still holding these buttons, turn the unit on by pressing the On/Off button
3. Keep holding the Pre-wash and the Start buttons until the digital display comes on (about 5 seconds)
The digital display will show 00 for no faults or will show a fault code.
To end the test program turn the washer off at any time

Let me know what error codes come up, if any.

I have a hotpoint ultima wf860 washing machine when trying to do a wash it just keeps saying test what is wrong with it ?????

SomeHotpoint's are designed to go into test mode when the start button and the on/off button are pressed at the same time. If you are stuck in Test mode, simply hold the start button down until it comes out of test mode, then hold both the start buttons and the on/off button down until you see 'D:end' (or similar message). Now try a normal wash programme again and hopefully it should be fine. If it goes into test mode by itself, then it may be an indication that there is a real fault, or a faulty programmer board. hope this helps.

http://appliancejunk.com/ge/washer/31-9103.pdf OK, to help you, I have found you your service and troubleshooting manual. Below is a DIY self help. washer link, this will help you to troubleshoot your issue. http://www.acmehowto.com/howto/appliance/washer/washer.php
You should try to reset it, but if that doesn't work, you may find you have a main controller board failure.

Pressing and holding the two centre buttons ie on/off and start/cancel together for a few seconds causes the machine to run in 'test' mode. Doing the same again puts it back to normal wash.
I nearly called an engineer once because my daughter causes it all of the time!

You could simply have a blocked drain pump. Is there water still in the unit when the code LE comes on, if so simply remove obstruction (outlet filter) and try spinning unit. Click above on troubleshooting, and look for drain, filter, etc. You're bound to find something useful. And rate pl.
