Hook up your mp3 player to your computer
Go to your desktop and double left click on "My Computer"
When it opens you will see listing that says "Devices with Removal Storage" your mp3 player should be listed there.
Right click on your mp3 player, and a window will open, right click on "Open" and now your files/songs should be visible.
Hold the left click down and drag it across all the files/songs that you do not want this will highlight the files/songs you do not want, release, right click and then click on "Delete"
Now you mp3 player should be clear of the files/songs you do not want.
I hope this helps
How absolutely annoying! Seems to be its in the upgrade, I can only think the MP3 player is not compatible with the upgrade, that makes no sense at all. Go back to the shop, they must have chaps in there that have either had this before or can help you with it. Good luck
Put the player in MSC mode,Plug into your computer, open My Computer,(The player will show as a drive)Open up the player, open the folders and delete what you want deleted. Then when you want to add more songs,Open it the same way as above and drag and drop them. You do NOT need to use a media player to load or remove items. And Please rate this solution.
Reformat in Windows Media Player instead.
Format - Erases Everything: Connect your Sansa player to the computer and open Windows Media Player. Click on the Sync tab. Pull down the drop down menu underneath the Sync tab by moving your cursor over the Sync tab and left clicking on the little black arrow underneath the Sync tab. Highlight "Sansa 1GB" (wording may vary slightly), and then select "Format." - this should erase everything.
The Proline manual (comes on a CD with the player) says:
6.3.7 Key lock
This function sets a time delay from when key lock function is started or the player is switched on, after which the player will automatically stop responding to the control buttons. Pressing any button will then display the message ‘Locked’. Key lock is useful, for example if you put the player in your pocket and don’t want any buttons to be pressed accidentally. The time delay is to let you start playing the music and so on. You can choose a delay of ten or thirty seconds, one, three or ten minutes, or you can disable key lock completely. •
Press and hold the V+ button for a couple of seconds to temporarily unlock the keys.
