Change recording speed

I need to change the recording speed, and dont have the remote. Is there a way to change it without the remote?

The only solution to this problem is to buy a new remote from the manufacturer. Aftermarket remotes that I have looked at: RCA, PHILLIPS, SONY, etc do not have a speed select button for the VCR. (which IMHO is stupid) Come on aftermarket people- it cant be that hard to program a speed select button!

I know its aggravating but you can use the menu button and go through a program sequence and set the recording speed there, then just turn off the VCR and when the time is met it will automatically come on and record at the speed and length of time you have set.
