Re: attachment

The hose actually attaches directly to the hole where the bag was. There is no other attachment that the hose needs to connect to. The thing that you put on the front is called the intake guard.

Re: attachment

Not sure what these parts are officially called, but...
There is a sort of blank cap that replaces the floor attachments.  It has a plastic grill front to keep fingers etc out of the input while blowing.  Then, the bag unscrews, unlocks with a partial turn counterclockwise, and PULL.  Then there is an attachment that replaces the bag holder and the hose fits on this attachment.
That's it.  Now the input is shielded, and the output air comes out the hose.  If you want, you can also take the upright handle off and put the small handle on to hand hold the body of the machine while blowing. One safety issue - the holes in cap on the input side are certainly large enough for sand or small debris to pass through it.  This debris would then be ejected out the blower side at high speed.

The vacuum is designed to be an upright vacuum or a hand held canister vacuum, or a blower.
It comes with many attachments.

Please use the blower attachment.

I'm trying to use the blower part to blow up a air matresss and i cant find my manual need to know hwo to get it to blow...

study how the bag attaches to the machine. usually you turn that bag collar a quarter turn counterclockwise to get that collar off. get ready because dirt will get all over.. then hook the larger end of the hose to where you just took that off. one of those smaller attachments that came with it goes on the other end of the hose to attach it to the mattress or use a small funnel or a straw and duct tape..

I'm trying to set up my vac as a blower! Help

Take the cloth bag and mini-imptor ofthe f. Then take you suction hose "that you would normaly put on the front" attach it to the side where you took the emptor off. It should lock on with a simple twist and lock. Now you have a blower. However you will need the intake guard assy. on the front of your kirby. Refer to the manual for that attachment. Good luck.

Where do I connect the hose and it's attachments

You need the suction/blower connector on the hose:
This must be for G4 or G3 model as later models had this part a bit different.

For rest of the attachment go HERE.

I have borrowed a kirby from my friend and i would like to wash my couches, please would you be so kind as to assist and let me know what tools i would need to use to be able to do so??

You need the upholstery attachment (it looks like a trigger sprayer with a plastic jar attached)You MUST have the foam screen that fits on the front of the trigger, without it,you will only get solution. The trigger sprayer fits on the end of the hose. The other end of the hose fits on the blower end of the machine. You must remove the bag,and attach the hose at this end.The trigger sprayer deposits the foam, and you work the foam in with a soft cloth or brush. When dry, switch the hose to the suction side, and vacuum out the foam. There is also an adapter (about the size of a styrofoam cup) that attaches to the front of the machine to allow it to be used when using the hose on the blower (bag) side.

Attachments are not working

Is there any suction when the hose is connected? You may try connecting the hose to the blower part (which is whre the exhaust filter is) and turn the machine on. If not take it to your dealer.

The blower attachment

You need to take the power nozzle off and attach the thing that looks like a little plastic cup with two hooks on it. This is the intake guard. Attach it to the front. Now remove the cloth bag and put the hose on the hole where the bag was. You'll have to line the arrow on the hose up with the notch on the Kirby and push the hose arm toward the Kirby until it pops on. If you need to, lube up the edges of the hole with a wee bit of vaseline or hand lotion. This makes the hose engage easier. Since you lost your manual, you may need belt change instructions as well. Here is a link to my online guide that will show you how....

Hope this helps...
