Ei... its so simple.. just reinstall all the files that you have in your drive c then install that in your drive d when you are asked where to install that file... (just uninstall  the files that you have an installer to those files so that you can install it again)... but if you hAVE THE  installer for windows reformat it then choose your drive d as your bootable drive instead of your drive c...

My 2002 mazda premacy sticks in gear when the transmision is cold, what can i do to fix this

I would consider a transmission oil change to freshen up the oil . The hard braking may be that there is a rust build up on the rotors and that makes the pads grab for a few applications. May be a way to fix the gear problem is to start it and let it idle for say 10 minutes to allow everything to get some heat into it instead of starting and driving immediately

What is the maximum size of hard drive for the travelmate 2300

Please keep in mind this unit uses IDE hard drive instead of SATA. The default 2300 uses a 30 GB high-capacity Enhanced-IDE hard disk. With latest BIOS upgrade, this unit will be able to have anything installed. 80GB, 160GB, 250GB, 320GB, 500GB.

However, I believe that IDE hard drives are slowly but surely becoming obsolete and legacy and they seem to be more expensive as well.

Don't worry, if it works. You are talking about external HD with USB connector?
The computer assigns the drive letters in 'operational order' and it doesn't matter in which order they go. In WinXP - system the drive letters 'rearrange' after reboot.

Hard drive

For programs installations you would have to manually change, redirect or point the program folder locations to the Lenovo disk ( E:/ or F:/ , etc, etc). For all other personal documents, image files, music files, video files you would have to do the same thing, go that programs (whichever program you use) options or preferences and edit the default file save locations to point to the Lenovo ( E:/ or F:/ , etc, etc) instead of your C:/ drive

No display and not functioning

I suggest that you clear hard drive and reformat it,again. Most of the time, booting from a floppy or optical drive, does the job satisfatorilly.I will suggest leaving your BIOS settings in their default state and make your adjustments when everything is up and running. from:justIT
