After a re installation, typically you have several drivers to install. Usually your network card, audio card, 56K modem.
Go to the acer website and go to support and downloads, enter your model # and download the appropriate drivers.
To find the drivers you're missing, open control panel. Open system, click on the hardware tab, then device drivers. The one's you're missing will have a yellow ? next to them.
