Have a uniden 5.8... The problem is incoming calls do not ring. Outgoing calls work perfectly. The caller hears one ring and then their phone goes silent.

You have probably accidentally activated a blocking function on your phone! Take the portable handset, and remove the battery. Wait five minutes, then reconnect the battery. That should reset the phone to "initial conditions," which are the settings it had when it was new.

No ringtone when receiving a call

Check if your iPhone is not in silent mode. Push the Ring/Silent switch upwards to turn off silent mode. You'll know that the silent mode is not on when you don't see the small red dot at the Ring/Silent switch which is located just above the volume buttons.

Motorola cell phone sound problems W315

On the left side of the phone are two button: A rocker button and a push button. With the flip CLOSED, push the rocker button down. you will see Style:Silent. Push the other button until Style:Loud comes up. Push the rocker button down again to exit the function. Open the Flip and use the rocker button to set the Ringer volume. You can set the ringer volume however you want for each style. My phone swiches by itself constantly when I put it in my jeans pocket, very annoying.

Silent mode

Ok what you do is look on the left side. There should be a button with one arrow pointing up, and another arrow pointing down. Exit out of everything on your phone and push the down button untill it says Silent. You can also put it on vibrate or turn it back up by pressing the up button.

press your menu button, that looks like papers with lines. under that there is a profiles section. select that and you should see a list that says standard, silent, etc. Select standard or one of the other profiles.
