Yes you might have, look at the connection and repair if damaged. The critical part is the inner wire that transmits the signal and if this is loose/broken then you can repair (maybe by reconnecting at the connector or with a soldered connection if you feel comfortable with doing that. Wrap the outer shielding to cover and solder that as well for continuity and strength.

My cb keeps saying antenna warning

The swr is too high. You may have a coax damaged or a bad antenna. Do not operate the radio on transmit until this is resolved or it may damage the radio.

Probably bad antenna wire at the antenna itself. Try plugging a piece of bare wire into the antenna hole (the 1/8" hole in the center) on radio, you should get something, hissing or some sound.

I have an XM roady that won't do anything except display Antenna I've called the help line and had no luck they just keep telling me to refresh now today i've talked with several people at work who have...

Go outside with the unit in the clear, and If it says "Antenna" - it means the connector for the antenna, the docking base or the antenna itself it usually bad. See if you can borrow a buddy's antenna just to see if the "Antenna" warning goes away. It could be the antenna & its connector, could be the docking base (make sure the radio is plugged in tight) or could be the radio (but usually isn't). Good luck and let me know what you find out.

This could be several things, first I'd look at your antenna system, make sure its matched to your truck. When I say this you need a good ground good coax at least 18 foot, the mount and it installed right and the right kind of antenna, they make many different one because not all work on what you're installing it on. Then I'd check your mic if it has a broke wire it can also cause the problem you're having, most midland mics are wired different so don't just find another one.

Looking for inexpensive shortwave antenna for use with Grundig S350 AM/FM Shortwave Radio

Simple wire can make a great antenna, and it's relatively inexpensive. I've had the best shortwave and AM reception thus far using a long loop (actually a rectangle) of copper wire as an antenna (but folks shouldn't try a loop with some radios designed for use with powered antennas without inserting an appropriate capacitor in series). If you do try wire, you would want to try to make the loop shape as large as possible, and connect the ends of the wire to your radio's antenna connectors.

My Delphi Roady XT will not maintain signal

if you plug and unplug your antenna connection to the receiver a lot it loses the ground(shielded) line connection, if your lucky you can take a safety pin and CAREFULLY bend the radios 4 outer shell antenna contacts inward to make contact with the antenna connector, if its the plug on the antenna, try pushing wire in toward plug connection to the radio...delphi never had much for life on any external products that fit their XM radios but when you need repl parts boy are they waiting for you, and they got them

Sirius satellite radio

Make sure the antenna has a good line of sight. Sirus works best when pointed in an Easterly direction. By default you should get channel 184 if there is no service activated on the radio.

All Sirius radios can be used for service only in the United States and Canada.

If you feel that the line of sight is ok and there are no obstructions from pointing your antenna either out of a window, on top of the car, or outside if it is used in a house, then try a different antenna. If you are using the smaller guage antenna wire, the connections can break inside during installation in a car from time to time.

If the radio is factory installed contact sirius at 1-888-539-7474 to see if they can see the radio on their end.

Not advised. They have different resistance and are set up for different Sat signals. Chances are you will decrease the life of your radio if you get a signal at all.

Swr damage

the transistors you are referring to are the rf power output transistors commonly called "finals". swr is the amount of your outgoing radio signal that is reflected back into your antenna ,through your coax(antenna Wire)and backs up in the radio circuitry. this backup will cause excessive heat to build up in the "Finals" therefore damaging the finals. this damage is serious but not major, just about any decent cb shop can resolve this problem. In a healthy antenna system the less swr you have the more efficent your cb radio is, this translates into more effective radiated signal therefore increasing the effective range of your radio.
