Question about Televison & Video
Now I'm not sayinf this is your specific problem, however, in my 20+years and my fathers 40+ years experience, RCA and GE had a common problem where the flyback and/or the trippler would go short in the RPTV's causing the TV not to work. For the past 10 years or so we havn't been able to locate replacement parts for these problems, and if one could, I would expect to pay $70-$160 just for the parts! Again, this may not be your specific problem, my father has come across the short rectifier problem a couple times, but this is not as common as the flyback/trippler.This may be an area to explore and i hope it helps, even just to give ones mind a break. Good luck, emphasis on "luck".
