Have you pressed the re establish contact buttons on the underneath of the mouse and the receiver unit .
They sometimes just dont boot properly and forget who they should be talking to .. repressing these buttons usually re establishes conntact and they work again , another cause may be dust on laser reciever on mouse clean with a small paint brush (dry ) and this also sometimes cures problem especially with erratic movement ....... regards Vortash

According to your problem, If you can't access your mouse in your then first check the receiver battery of the mouse is OK. Try to update the external device driver from device manager.You can also try download the device driver from the product website. If it doesn't't help you then replace the mouse.

Hi there,
There are a number of reasons why your mouse isn't reponding:
  1. Check that the batteries are full
  2. Check that the mouse is synchronised with the adapter
  3. Check you have the correct drivers installed.
If none of these things help you, then if your mouse is still under warranty, I'd ask for another one.

Cordless mouse worked fine for over 2 years then just stopped saying the driver was not recognized..Removing the USM numerous times and it started working again for about 30 min and then quit again.

I'm assuming that you've already replaced the batteries in your mouse. Usually any cordless mouse has only a year warranty, but you may check with Logitech for a solution or replacement of your product. Logitech does make extraordinarily fine products, and backs them up with excellent online or over-the-phone tech support.

Logitech offers a warranty period of 3 - 5 years depending on the model. If you think your device is covered under the quoted time warranty, you can make a claim to them.

It stopped working, I replaced batteries and still doesn't work


One of two things are happening. The mouse has gone bad, or one of it's driver files is corrupt. Optional:(Run your anti-virus program on the drive containing the mouse drive).

Unistall the Logitech Mouseware by using the Add or Remove Programs in the Control panel. Plug in your mouse via the PS2 and reboot. When back up, windows should use the default PS2 driver. If it works, or if not, go ahead and re-install you mouse, but do not install all the other junk Logitech wants you to install.

You may even consider downloading the updated driver from Logitech for the new install.

Logitech cordless mouse won't work - suddenly stopped working. have checked all obvious things battery etc. think it's something to do with mouse driver - very difficult to use computer with keyboard


Looks like the receiver has gone bad. Please call the Customer Support to make a warranty claim.

no solution--your laser is not functioning
contact logitech to check your warranty 5 years for most mice.if out of Warranty you may qualify for a credit thru logitech sales.

My computer stopped recognizing my wireless keyboard & mouse. Says it's missing a driver or that the device is malfunctioning. Don't think it's a battery prob. Do I need a new driver?...


Uninstall the Keyboard driver.
Unplug the Logitech keyboard.
Restart the computer.
Plug the Logitech keyboard back into the computer.
Windows should recognise the keyboard and/or the mouse.
Place Logitech setup disk in drive.
Reload the drivers...

The drivers sometimes corrupt themselves..
You might download the latest drivers for your keyboard/mouse.
