Unfortunately eMachine manuals are not very thorough. Here is a link to the support page for your computer:

w2060 Support

At the bottom of the page is a support telephone number. Call and explain that you need the front panel pinout for your computer. That's what it sounds like you have disconnected. There is also a link for online chat if that is an option.

I did find this page eMachine Pinouts that may be of help to you. It does not give the colors of the wires, but look for the abbreviations on the connectors such as HDD, PWR, and PWR LED.

I need to know where 3 wires go

The wires should be labeled HDD,POWER, and i think RESET or somthing, just look on the motherboard within cord reach and you should see all three labeled on the motherboard all grouped together.

Need picture of mother board for Emachine C2825

I've built a PC myself, each connector had text on it to say what it was and one arrow on it in relief, don't know wether that indicated plus or minus anymore.
Anyway, I recommend you just plug them in, and try to boot the PC. If it doesn't boot, switch the Power SW connector around, then it should boot. Do the same with the LED connectors, and it should work just fine!

Good luck,
Yannick.

Have emachines W2060. Can't get screen to show

Hi Joe,

Could be one of several things:

1) Monitor cable connection loose.
2) Video card (if you have one) not seated, or bad.
3) RAM module not seated, bad, or wrong kind. (If you have not messed with the RAM, probably not one of these.)
4) If your video is integrated into the motherboard (no video card) your motherboard may be bad. Installing a separate card could correct this.
5) Bad monitor.

Have you made any changes to your system when this happened?

Try to connect another monitor/cable to your computer and try your monitor on a friend's computer to see if it works.

Comment back with any updates.

Thanks for using Fixya.

Power supply for Emachine

WhoDoctorK9 is right. You'll need the model number of the pc to pull up any schematics of the board. This is, however, how you solve this problem. Just google your model number and try to find a schematic of the board.

If you can't find the schematic, the board should be marked with some sort of 'pwr' blah blah white lettering. It's hit & miss, but you can find the connection without visual aid by dimensions of the plugs and the obscure little identifiers on the board itself.

Good luck and may the force be with you. :P

HI! I was cleaning the inside of my e-machine W3502 and I putted off the 3 cords labeled Power LED green in color,HDD.LED red in color, and the POWER SW. Now i don't know how to put them back on in order....

look on the motherboard where all the cables are plugged in, It should list on the board in small letters what plugs in there. whats written on top goes on the top pins & bottom list should be the bottom pins.

Cant remember were the wires go to plug in the power button to mother board black/white green/white red/white on the Emachine Desktop PC

Hi

if you look closely to the board you will see white text that explains what two pins are for what, also if you can provide me with the model of the motherboard, the connections are documented in the user manual,

its a emachine.. what model? you can also look at the motherboard and find the white text that has the model details post everything you find if your not sure. (most likely between the processor and memory or within that area, and in most cases between the pci slots)

EMachine no power

Ok for a start the power switch is not green and white that is the power led, you need to look for a red and black wire normally marked on the connector and motherboard as pwrsw or pswitch.
if you believe it to be the switch unplug the connector and jump the connection on the motherboard using the reset switch or a jumper, or not recommended but have done this myself many times using a flat blade screw driver very carefully and touch the 2 pins to complete the circuit.
if it doesnt power on then its more than likely it is the power supply but the motherboard being faulty could also cause this to happen.
the problem i have found with emachines is that its difficult to get replacement power supplys
