LG V782W dvd cant read disc - LG V181 DVD Player/VCR

Just the one disc, or all you put in? Every DVD player will have a proviso in the user guide that some discs will not play successfully due to

- poor quality recording or disc surface, maybe scratches
- pirated disc
- out-of-region disc origin
- unsuitable DVD-RW format

If every disc, the laser unit has possibly failed or gone out of alignment. These units are uneconomical to repair.

My DVD player is just over 12 months old and it cant read the Discs it brings up a message reading NO DISC can anyone help please.

Try to use a optical disc cleaner for the player, this can only be a dirty lens thats why the unit cant read the disc inserted.,

Try using the regionfree hack....it might work

1 open the tray in dvd mode
2 push 0 seven times.
3 it will ask you if you want to become region free just
push yes

try that:

1. Power on (with no disc inserted)
2. Press PAUSE
3. Press 3, 1, 4, 1, 5, 9
4. Enter the desired RC
5. Press PAUSE
6. Turn the player off and wait a few seconds

1. VCD playback
2. Press PAUSE, 1, 4, 7, 2
3. Press UP 6 times, '07 00' should appear on the display
4. Press Program 6, Program 5 ('07 FE' should be displayed)
5. Press ENTER
6. Press RETURN
7. Power off and on again

Remove disc and turn on DVD.
Press PAUSE
enter 314159
The region code set page should appear.
Set code. 0 for multi region
Press PAUSE.

Turn on the DVD player with no disk, wait until the 'no disk' label pops up then press
1. 'Pause'
2. '1'
3. '4'
4. '7'
5. '2'

I had the same and brought it back and they replaced the DVD unit. After another 6 moths I had the same and they had to replace it again. I think LG DVD units are lousy.
