The automatic shut off

the red automatic shut off pops up in the recovery tank and the cleaner loses its suction

I have The Hoover SteamVac

I've only used my Hoover steam vac twice and now it will not turn on. Any idea what the problem may be?

Check the filter on the inside of the lid for the dirty water tank. It needs to have a 1/4 in. gap from the top of the lid to the top of the filter.
