Question about Dell 430-0008 Network Adapter

Display Receive error that the display adapter is not configured correctly and click ok to go to add hardware wizard. The problem is the monitor keeps blinking on and off intermitently for various lengths of time. What can I do to fix this problem?

My monitor flashes on and off while I am working.


Hi,

There are lots of reasons why it can shutdown, but happerlly none should be serious. It may be that the B+ or Power supply is too high, look for a pot near the power supply and try turning it down a bit. Also the x-ray protection may be too high, look for the X-Ray pot, found near the FBT, turn that down too. I assume your a tech and know how and where to be carefull.

card settings are too high and your monitor cannot handle the settings. One way to confirm this is to boot into SAFE MODE and see if it still happpens. If it does not, then its the video card settings. If it does, then it indicates that the monitor is in need of service or replacement.Turn down the resolution and color depth settings all the way, and then increase them incrementally until it is as high as it can go until this problem starts happening again. To adjust video settings, right click anywhere on the desktop and select Properties. To resolve this problem, start your computer in Safe mode, remove the display adapter, rename the .inf files that are associated with the display adapter drivers, restart your computer in Normal mode, and then update your display adapter drivers. The following steps describe this procedure in more detail:

I have purchased a Asus en6200le card for dual monitors at work. I have also purchased the correct DVI-I to VGA adapter so i can run 2 vga monitors, but i still cannot get the second monitor to show how...


Right-click the desktop, and then click Properties.
In the DisplayProperties dialog box, click the Settings tab.
Click the Display list and select your external monitor. If you do not see multiple monitors listed, your computer hardware may not support Dualview. You can still use MaxiVista to configure a second computer as an additional display, however.
Select the Extend my Windows desktop onto this monitor option. Click Apply or OK

Windows xp will not load

I have 2 monitors a syncmaster 920N and 216bw.Both were working fine until I had a system restore now only one works.What do I have to do?

Keeps losing resolution


Try updating you're display adapter driver. Go to my computer, right click on that icon. Click on properties. Go to hardware tab, click on device manager. A window will open. Open up the display adapter tab, right click on you're display adapter and try to update driver. Then follow the wizard. That worked for me.

you can set a resolution of 1440*900..
option 1) open device manager,, update the drivers for standard vga card.. locate ur video drivers folder,,(do it manually even if u have it on cd)...


option 2) this one is bit risky.... open add new hardware wizard and add ur correct video adapter, no matter ur standard display adapter is already installed. after you finish, update ur original standard display adapter and this time, it will pick the correct drivers.. now you can remove your dumb display adapter and restar pc .
risk is- be very careful, u dont want to remove your physical adapter by mistake, resulting no video after a restart.

Click the Settings tab, click Advanced, and then click the Troubleshooting tab. Drag the Hardware acceleration slider to the left.
  1. Click OK, and then click OK again.
  2. Restart the computer when you are prompted to do so.

  • To open Display Properties, click Start, click Control Panel, click Appearance and Themes, and then click Display.
Does decreasing hardware acceleration solve the problem?
If not resolveIs the BIOS for your display adapter out of date?
The BIOS for your display adapter might not allow a resolution higher than 640 × 480 with 16 colors.
Contact the display adapter manufacturer to find out whether there is an updated video BIOS for your display adapter that supports higher resolution.Does upgrading the video BIOS solve the problem?
