Black screen no sound (by 4 users)

I can come home from work, turn my 32" RCA XBOX TV on and go in the next room and in about 10-15 minutes, the TV has went completely Black but with sound. What is the problem? I turn TV off and back On. It stays on for another 10-15 minutes and off again with sound.

We've had the same problem with two tv's (same model, different manufacture dates of 2003 & 2005). The tv is turned on, we get sound, no picture. We have had to essentially "reboot" the tv to get it to work. We unplug it and immediately plug it back in to get it to produce a picture. The first one we bought was serviced 4 or 5 times before the tech called to get a return authorization to exchange it. My husband then bought the identical thing and two years later, the day before the service contract expired, the same exact problem occured. As I type this, the technician is working on it. We'll see how this works out for us. When it comes time to replace this tv, I will not buy one like it again. I'm thankful my RCA 13" in the office still works, except everyone hijacks it when the big tv is on the fritz.

Same thing in fact it just happened about an hour ago and I am trying to figure out why. In fact, I got home from work...turned on the TV could hear it in the background walked out of the room and then came back and blank screen and no sound. Unplugged it and waited thinking it needed to reset etc...nothing. It will start up like always then just sit there.
