We are having a problem wanting to make sure we get the correct part / parts...the stove top (all 4 burners) work fine, however the clock timer, Oven. oven light & all indicator lights do not. It was working fine 2 days ago, then last night, I went to turn on the burnner & the indicatior light flashed.. we have checked the breakers & that was not the problem. we moved ot the stove out took off the back cover & everything started working again... after vacing where the stove sitts, we were going to move it back & then we were back to square one.. we wiggled wires, connection, etc. & nothing.

Thanks in advance for any thoughts

you will need to replace the control board that contains the clock readout, any power surges ruins these electronics instantly, this can be replaced by removing the rear cover on the back of the unit and remove screws securing the electronic module

3 stove top burners will light with electric ignition and 4th ok with assistance

Sounds like the sparker is in trouble. Get the oven details and ask your appliance dealer or go online to an appliance spares site. Before you spend any money, have a second opinion from an experienced person. You may have to remove the oven top to expose the igniters. Find a handbook, this level of checks is usually in the owners manual.

No heat from burners or oven after relocating stove

Hi Ron - From what you have described if neither the burners nor oven turns on make sure the electrical connecting is 240V. The oven light and clock portions only required 115V. The clock and oven light working may indicate an electrical circuit breaker supplying the range is tripped or a fuse is blown. Confirm household circuit is correct and the range cord is properly wired to the terminal block.

I have a Hotpoint RGB745 when i turn the stove on it never gets out of pre heat mode. oven is warm but not hot. top burners work fine

The stove knobs won't turn on the oven. If you've already checked the igniter, take apart the top and look for loose wires. My husband found a loose one going to the control board, tightened it and now things seem to be working.

Hotpoint electic stove, the burners and the oven not working

Is there any sign of life? Does the oven light come on or does the clock work? Just for kicks, go and reset the breaker - it should be a double breaker for a 220V appliance - sometimes half will throw and still leave 110v that will run the light / clock.

Stove does not work now that we have removed a broken element

Thanks for the reply.

OK... I know this sounds odd and all... but all of the components (elements in the oven specifically) have to be installed and working correctly for the oven to operate properly.

Most people don't know this, but even when the oven is turned off and sitting there peacefully waiting for something to cook, there is STILL 120 Volts at one of the terminals on the element. Know what that means? That means that it is constantly (always) powered up! It also means that it is a necessary component involved in applying 220 volts to all the OTHER (cook top burners anyone?) components.

So... to take care of this and to bring you oven (and cook top) back to life, ya gotta go get yourself a new element and install it. OK?

Do you have the model number? If you do, give it to me and I'll look up the part number for you, deal?
