Open the Control Panel. Select "Printers and other Hardware". Select "Mouse".

(Note: If you open Control Panel and it is in Classic View, just double-click "Mouse".)

Select the Pointer Options tab. (The exact tab name may differ.)

There should be a slider button to adjust the speed of the mouse. Click OK.

Thanks for using Fixya.

How do I slow my mouse down

Either tie it up or stop feeding it stimulants...RALOL

Seriously though, since you haven;t mentioned what operating system your PC runs on, generally you can set the mouse properties by going to: <Control Panel>, <mouse properties>, <button> tab, and set the speed by moving the slider bar from fast to slow (or any other speed in between).

I hope my instructions helped and added a little levity and a smile!

How do I slow down a logitech M510 mouse? I have it as slow as it can go using control panel mouse settings but it is still too fast

The software Mr. Maitia referred to is called Setpoint, and it's the key to getting full use out of your 510, or any other Logitech mouse/keyboard/etc. product. All versions of the Setpoint software and drivers for Logitech products are available for free download at the Logitech support website. Here's the link: Logitech Support

My cursor has turned into an icon that looks like a padlock, reducing maneuverability. Do you know how to get the regular cursor back? Thank you.

Hi, go to the "Control Panel," from the start menu, click to open, select in the Hardware & Sound category; "Mouse, next you can change the "Pointer" appearance, how "Fast or Slow..." the mouse pointer moves. "Rating the solution is appreciated, thanks."

Mouse moves too fast

Hello,

You can always control mouse pointer motion (speed), by using Mouse Option in Control Pannel. Open Mouse option in control pannel. Here you can go to Pointor Motion, now move the slider to left side. Click on Apply and check mouse speed. When you get the required speed, Click OK.

Thanks

Asus A6000 entertainment-how can i slow down

This is not a computer problem, but rather a problem of the game setup.
Start your game and go to "setup" or "options" or something like that. One of the options will be related to "mouse speed" or "mouse sensitivity". Turn the speed or sensitivity down a couple of notches, save the new settings and try the game again.

Greetings,
There is nothing wrong with the mouse and if you install another new mouse it will most likely do the same thing. Here is what you do. Assuming you have windows click where it says start at the bottom right of your screen. Then click on the option "control panel" If you have windows xp you will click on "printers and other hardware". Then click mouse. This should bring up a picture of your mouse and a tabbed menu. You will go to the tab that says motion and you will be able to adjust the cursor speed via a sliding bar. Let me know if you need any more guidance.
Take Care

Slow cursor

Hiya! Check your batteries (if wireless) and try a different mousing surface. They can be picky with reflective or transparent surfaces. If you want, you can check out the mouse curser speed settings by going to Start > Control Panel > Mouse > Pointer Options. You should see a speed slider there.
