My SD-V393SU1 Toshiba DVD/VCR Combo will not turn on.

We had a thunderstorm a few weeks ago and lightning struck near the house. It took out the digital cable, blu ray player and this DVD/VCR combo. The DVD/VCR combo will not come on at all. How do I fix it?

dvd lens emmit lazer thrice then the cd rotation stops and no disc appears on tv

after inserting the dvd movie the dvd lens emmits red lazer beams for 3 times then the cd stops...
