2003 ford expedition i just got it a week ago and the front heat works great but the back vents only blow cold air. How do i fix this?

With the car parked and engine idling, turn the ventilation control between windshield defroster and "open air ducts" to front and rear vents. Listen to pinpoint where the valves are that open and closes the air ducts. It sounds like the air duct to rear vents are blocked, and the cold air in rear air duct is coming from "outside ventilation." The air vent to allow hot air to the rear vent is stuck in "open ventilation" mode, like when you're driving in spring or summer months.

How do you side vent the Kenmore 800 dryer? I cannot rear vent the dryer due to space limitations. I MUST side vent.

You will need to take the dryer apart, pull the drum out. Then at the bottom you will see the main discharge, take it off and insert a 45 degree elbow, you will need to then install hard venting to reach the knock out on the side. Be sure to use metal duct tape when sealing the venting to avaoid fire haz.

Front ac vents blow cold air but rear seat vents blow warm/hot air.

On the right lower side of the center consuel after you take the cover off tou will see an actuator mounted to the ducting. this is a dual acting unit. They come with plastic gears and also a weak coupling that drives the doors in the ducting. One of the two is stripped and to repair the unit will need to be replaced. After replacement all door actuators need to be programmed. It takes a scan tool to do this. I don't believe any aftermarket scan tool can do that. A GM Tech 2 will do it. Thanks

Install side vent for GE dryer

Unlike some other dryers that have knockouts on the side and allows the vent to come out the side I don't believe this one does. The air duct has the rear discharge outlet built right into it. Since it sounds like you don't have enough room to put a 90 degree elbow on the back of the machine, which would move the dryer out about 6 in, you might try one of those square duct dryer fittings. See link for example: If you had to you could put this 90 degrees, and continue it out with retangular metal duct.

Apartment central air vent

It will usually be one of three things:
1. The vents are closed. Check that you can see up into the ducting. Usually there is a lever that opens and closes louvers behind the vent plate. If this is the case, you can open the louvers with the levers on the side of the vent plates to get your air. On older vents, the levers don't work very well, and may need replacement if this is the case. Not that you should, but I have opened the louvers with a screwdriver....It works....
2. A separated duct. Assuming that your ducts are overhead, the separation would be in the attic space.
3. An obstruction in the ducting. There may be a flapper that restricts air in one part of the ducting, forcing it more to the uther ducts. Sometimes these close off on their own accord and need to be reset for proper operation. An object in the ducting will cause the same problem.
I'd discuss this with your building maintenance team. The only item on this list that I'd take a crack at, if I were renting the apartment, is number 1. Even then, be very careful working on ladders. If you can see up into the vent, then there really isn't much else expected of you.
Hope this helps you. Regards, --W/D--

2006 Envoy SLT air suddenly stopped blowing from vents

the resister block needs changing... oddly enough i'm unsure of what fan you are saying is not working.... if it's the front.. the resister block is located on the duct work under the dash for the air... near the fan... you will see a connector going into the side of the duct work. two screws and the block comes out... should be fairly obvious for the rear one but it will be near the fan.

Air conditioner

that would be cause do to vibration. sometime going over bumps or a gravel road will cause the vent duct itself to vibrate loose and drop down some blocking the flow of air. it will do it to the drivers side first because the fan is located on the passanger side. and has more of a hold on the brackets..... bu that is what i would do and check the air duct behind the vent and make sure it has not dropped down blocking the air from flowing out freely.
