Question about Sony VAIO Notebook
This is a Sony Vaio laptop that was originally operating on XP but was upgraded to Windows Vista. After the upgrade, the speakers on the laptop stopped working.
Start, control panel, sounds and audio devices. Check "volume" and check if to see if the speakers are "muted". If not, select "sound" the sound profile should be "windows default" if not change it by using the down arrow on the side. Try the "sounds" by clicking on one of them like "asterisk" then clicking on the "right" arrow beside the "browse". This should play the selected sound if the speakers are working.
