Pionneer Inno External Antenna (by 2 users)

Whenever I try to use the external; antenna with my Inno, I never get above 1 bar no matter where I place antenna (always facing south) high, low, indoor, outdoor. All I get is a warning message "Check antenna". I have 2 of these radios and both have the same problem. The antenna is firmly connected and positioned properly. There must be another issue.
