SOURCE: my copier smears the middle portion of printed documents.

Cleaning the roller (drum) may have made things worse. You will need a new toner cartridge. However you should try and get a replacement from your supplier if the cartridge is not too old

Print-range set

When you click print, there is a portion with heading "Pages to Print". In the text box, Pages, put your range of copies you want to print. Example: "1,2,3.." or "1-10" or "1,3,5,10-12" Hope this helps!

The printer only copies a very small portion of material.

Try this approach: On your computer:
  1. Click Start > Settings > Printers or Printers and Faxes.
  2. Right-click the Lexmark 2500 Series icon.
  3. Click Printing Preferences.
  4. Click the Save Settings menu.
  5. From the Restore section, select Factory Settings (Defaults).
Try to print your document again to verify that the problem is fixed.

I'm using a wireless canon pixma mx350 but am unable to print web pages, in particular from a HSBC site. As soon as I click print, the printer disappears!

1.Try doing Ctrl+S and saving the webpage to your computer first. Then open the saved webpage and try printing from there. 2. If that doesn't work, try right clicking in the portion of the page you wish to print, and doing "Print This Frame". 3. If that is not an option, try using Ctrl+P instead of clicking on the print button. This should bring up the print dialog. 4. Otherwise, try using Ctrl+A to select everything, Ctrl+C to copy it, open a new Word document and use Ctrl+V to paste it. Then try printing the Word document.
Good luck! And PLEASE leave me positive feedback!

Cutting off the bottom 1/2 inch of 8-1/2 x 11 inch paper.

Notice where the metal retainer beneath the glass cuts off the view of your document you wish to copy
and make allowances on your copy. Most printers disallow some portion of the edges of any document
for handling the transport of the document through the feeder, or in the cases of contact copiers, a portion
of the sheet as you have experienced, so that the edges need not be so carefully adjusted to avoid the dark
line in edge copied formats.

Format all documents so that you do not need to copy the portion excluded.

Sometimes this can be accomplished by reducing the size of the document.

Problem printing full screen

sounds like your printers settings have accidentally been set to print a smaller area. When you print, look into the area that says page settings or properties before you print, you may find the settings altered. If the settings are set to print full page, then post back as we will need to explore other issues. Cheers lilacgerry

Scanner portion

The easiest thing to do is a system restore; it will restore all of your computers settings to a point before the software was changed. Go to start, programs, accessories, system tools, system restore.

Folow the onscreen prompts and select a day prior to the day the scanner stopped working. It will reboot, then restore. Then your computer should be just like it was.
