Question about Mitsubishi WD-52725 52". Rear Projection HDTV

1 Answer

Mit WD-52725 DLP won't switch to device mode, turns off.

2004-Mitsu WD-52725 DLP Unit On was during recent lightning/thunderstorm, had brownout, heard loud click, but unit stayed on. Later, we selected DEVICE MENU to play dvd, everything locked up, seconds later, unit died, timer lamp blinked rapidly. Pushed and held reset, released, but timer lamp still blinks, no joy. Unplugged unit, it finally came on, but only cable/regular channels work, can't push ANY other buttons, except channel select without unit turning off, and lamp flashing rapidly again. I think a card cooked, or a component. Want to repair DIY, need suggestions. Thanks in Advance.

TV turns off

There is an issue with your Processing Board or a power supply. Either one you will need to get the unit in for repair or have a servicer come to the house to see what the issue is. I would call around and get some price quotes on what the charges for repair are. A good shop will do this for you.

No display or sound on Mitsubishi WD-52725

This is a DLP They have issues with the color wheel, the winding sound could be from this color wheel. If it stops spinning it will cause the tv to shut down. DLP is a mechanical display process. If you are handy and understand electronics you could replace this yourself. If not i would let a tech handle it.

Changing DLP bulb

there is not true schmatic to change a Dlp bulb. It should slide or twist right out of its balast and you should be able to put a new one in the same way.

Thanks
