Frigidaire frig. model#FGHC2331PF7 is dripping onto top shelf and the filter has ice cycles and what temp should freezer and frig be

If it's brand new and leaking, call the place you bought it from and have them fix it. As for the temp settings; there is a center default in the freezer and you should start there, the fridge also has a default which should be OK. If you need it colder turn it up in small increments and give it a day before you make any additional adjustments. The "cold" in a fridge or freezer also depends on how much stuff you have in the unit, and how often you have the door open.

Frig & freezer not cooling enough. Ice forming in back of bottom freezer.

You need to have the defrost cycle checked.( heater, limit stat, timer) If the frig can't defrost air can't move across your coils to cool properly. To temporarily get by until you can get a repairman, use a blow dryer to melt the ice build up. Once melted it will work normally for about 2 days till it freezes up again.

Hi, What you are having is a defrost problem. You will need a defrost timer or on newer models the control board, also the defrost heater and the termination thermostat. You will need your complete make and model number to get the parts from a local supply house. You will need to unplug the machine. The back wall of the freezer needs to be removed. Use a blow dryer to get rid of ice buildup. Install parts. Timer is probably in the frig compartment or the board on newer models on back of frig. Hope this helps

Tried to adjust temp of refrigerator and the panel went crazy, flashing through the various settings. Not sure what to do.

need a model # and ser # off the machine itself to give correct ans and part that has failed .. this is what i think . your machine uses a prosser with sensors and the prosser has failed . this can cause the flashing and how knows what . some models the ice mker will keep opening the ice door and never quit and the flashing controls . . to correct you will need to replace the controls in the frig side .. mm / hope this helps . mm

Our frig ice cube door chute keeps slaming and the lights are going crazy on the push button board. model MFI2568AES SER 10967637JR

Your control board is bad. Unplug refrigerator and replace it, follow instructions on board to reprogram and you should be good. It's on the back outside of refrigerator under panel. Or, call a repairman to do it for 400.00 plus. Hope this helps,

if this is a side by side refrigerator, then the space between the doors is not heated by an electric heater. it is heated by part of the condensing coil. so the excess heat is probably generated by a loss of adequate airflow under the machine. which would explain the temperature change in the refrigerator.
  • clean the coils under the machine and make sure the fan is working.
  • make sure the airflow is not obstructed in any way.
if you already checked this and think it is a different problem then let me know, i will help you figure it out.
