This indicates that you have voice mail waiting on your line (telco provided) or you may have voice mail provide by the unit. What you need to do is to call your voice mail box or use your voicemail button and listen to your messages. If you have the owners manual it will tell you how to access the voice mail box if it is local to your unit.

dial the phone (use a cell for test run/practice) ...once you hear the
message press "*" (the asterisk key) and enter your 4 digit code (the
default code is 1234 or sometimes 0000) you really should change this,
this might have been done in the initial setup... read your manual for
