Question about Computers & Internet
I have a friends toshiba satellite a105 4334. The computer boots to xp just fine. The issue is that the screen goes dark after 2-3 minutes. I plugged a monitor into the vga port to see if its a faulty lcd and it keeps rebooting every 2-3 minutes instead of the screen going dark and the power staying on. I completely took the notebook apart and cleaned the heatsinks and fan, so its not a heat issue at this moment. I wanted to update the bios because this is the oldest bios version but it won't stay on long enough to flash the bios without being in danger of getting interrupted. So it won't stay on long enough for me to update anything or change an drivers. At this point I'm stumped. There is nothing online about this problem that I can find. I'm thinking its something to do with the Intel 945 vid card or the mobo. Any advice would be awesome. Thx.
