Question about HP OfficeJet 6110 All-In-One InkJet Printer

1 Answer

Printer does not communicate with computer. Page of text sent to printer results in printer ejecting a clean unprinted page. All functions of the printer, fax and scanner work. I can copy, scan and print on the machine but not from the computer.

Suspect communication error. Try different cable between computer and printer.
Try alternative computer.
After telling computer to print avoid any other activity on computer.
Make sure printer and computer are powered on the same receptacle with ground plug.

How to cold reset in HP LaserJet 1536 dnf mfp

Hi,
Resetting the HP LaserJet Pro M1536dnf accomplishes the following:
  • Clears all data from the printer's memory (including unprinted data, downloaded fonts, and macros).
  • Stops any printing that is taking place and ejects the page.
  • Removes some error conditions.
  • Resets the printer to its factory default settings.
Reset Procedure:
  • Turn off the printer
  • Press and hold the Left arrow & Cancel while you turn on the printer
  • Once you see Permanent Storage Init you can release the buttons.
  • The printer should now start resetting.
Thanks,

My p350 wont print the photos. but will print a test page

If you're printing from your computer, it could be just a slight communication problem. A quick fix for most communication errors can be achieved by resetting the printer and/or rebooting the PC. Frequently, issues are caused simply by a break in the signal sent from PC to printer or vice versa. Unplugging and re-plugging the printer allows the small amount of on-board memory on the printer to be cleared, with the result that the PC recognizes the machine properly. Programs continuing to run in the background of the operating system (OS) can cause the signal to be lost. Rebooting the PC ends all programs that may be running and makes a 'clean' start, allowing the signal to be detected.

Brother printer taking too long to eject a printout

I'm not sure I understand your question. It sounds to me like the printer is working properly. An inkjet will spit a text only page out faster than a page with graphic data on it.

Ink Jets print the images in a "Swath" pattern. This is what gives the page the step motion on exiting a printer.

Now laser printers, since they are intelligent printers, will build an image and then transfer the image, fuse the image and eject the page in one smooth operation.

But lasers would require a "Print Page" command from the datastream to force the page ejection or trying to print outside of the no print area on the page.

For example a PCL 5e datastream would issue a hex 0x0C command to eject the page.

PostScript wouold issue a "Showpage" command.

I am getting lines though at least four lines of print per page. I shook the ink cartridges to see if that might be the problem, but no. The cartridges are all full. Please help

If the lines are black, the cartridge probably has bleeding jets.

If the lines are white (unprinted) then there are plugged jets.

In either case, replace the cartridge. You can try cleaning the jets by wiping with cleaner... Using the "cleaning jets" function of the printer is USUALLY futile.

My HP Office jet 6210

If the printer seems to be printing and ejects paper when a page seems finished, communication is happening, just no ink.
To see if it is an ink or printhead problem, take any Word document, highlight all text and change the font color. Then try printing it; I would try this with a few different colors to see if any part of the printhead is capable of producing visible material.

Re dfx -9000

Please perform the following steps to ensure your printer is physically functioning.

1. Turn the printer off and disconnect the interface cable.
2. Load plain, single part tractor paper into the printer.
3. Press the LOAD/EJECT button while turning on the printer.

NOTE: The self test prints over several pages. After the first or second page has printed, press PAUSE and turn the printer off.

If this self test prints correctly, then the printer hardware is functioning correctly.

>Try printing from other applications.
>Check cables as they can cause communication errors.
>Re-install the driver.

Printing problems

According to the manual, "If there are white vertical lines on your printout, you will need to clean the print head."

I had that problem and cleaning the print head solved it.
