Model 60-7000M. All works except foot rest. It will not close. Help!

Not sure what you mean by foot "rest." If it is presser foot, then you may not have the correct presser foot for your machine (basically, there are 3 types--low shank, high shank, & slant shank). Usually, there is also a pressure adjustment for the presser foot that increases the amount of pressure applied to the fabric and feed dogs. Consult your owner manual. Pressure adjustment is usually either a dial, a plunger type on the top left of the machine (pushing down increases the pressure--push down on the outer ring to release it), or a screw at the very top of the presser foot bar (sometimes under the top lid).

How to adjust tension on foot-rest?

Consult your owner's manual. Most machines have a presser foot pressure adjustment. On older machines it is usually a pop-up button directly above the needlebar, on others it is a screw. Newer machines will have a dial.

Why foot will not depress enough

Presser foot pressure is adjustable. Open the head cover and look for the presser foot shaft behind the light. On most models there is a spring around the presser foot shaft that pushes on a collar. The collar is adjustable (higher up pushes down more) and held on with a socket head screw (use a hex wrench).

I had anew clutch in the hyundia in 2010 it seems to be slipping how long should it last can it be adjusted

Clutch life is determined by several factors, most of which you have control over. Excessive revs while slipping the clutch to move slowly, resting you foot on the clutch pedal instead of the foot rest, starting to move in 2nd instead of 1st, allowing the vehicle to run back when engaging the clutch to go forward. Assuming you do not do any of these things then it comes back to the clutch master cylinder being faulty and a compensating port is blocked and holding the clutch partially disengaged. The clutch is not normally adjustable. I would check the condition of the fluid and if it is almost black I would replace the m/cyl. Find out if the m/cyl has been replace if possible

When I attach my embroidery unit to my babylock ellagio, the screen say to rasie the presser foot....but the foot is already raised? Any suggestions??

Try lifting it past the point it would normally rest at, in the up position. Then if the message comes up touch okay. It sould recalibrate the unit when its lifted. It may be able to be adjusted, mostly its a replacement. The switch is at the back of the machine in above the presser foot. You can see if the back cover would come off.
