Question about Canon PowerShot SD100 / IXUS II Digital Camera
Out of nowhere I turned on my camera on & all s---. Screen picture is pinkish red and when I take pic it is also distorted, pinkish red.
Canon replaced my camera with a sd1000. thanks FixYa. BBob

As mentioned this sounds like it might be a defective CCD imager. But note that Canon should fix this for you for free, including free shipping both ways. This is regardless of your camera's warranty status. Please check the following two links for more info (it's a relatively easy process, so go for it!):

CCD sensor has stopped working properly ( see pic of this device from my workbench ) that is why your pics are " noisy" both in terms of resolution and colour. Fortunately Canon agent will replace the sensor free of charge.
