You need an amplifier with Hi level inputs - or a line level convertor (hi to low)
This converts the signal going to a factory speaker into RCA output the amplifier can use to amplify the sound.

What is spring sign showing on dash of seat Ibiza sport 1.6

hi Marc

SEAT Ibiza glow plugs heating warning light - your SEAT Ibiza is equipped with an automatic glow plug system. The indicator lamp lights up while the glow plugs are preheating. If the engine fails to start immediately, the glow plugs have not finished preheating. In this case, keep the clutch pedal depressed (or keep your foot on the brake if your vehicle has an automatic gearbox) until the engine starts. (applies to diesel cars only)

Why do my subwoofers not work when connected to an amplifier that is powered?

The bus connection is actually not an RCA looks very, similar i think if you look at it it will say IN. as far as i remember its an input for like a CD changer. Run a Y splitter on one of the other RCA out put, split the signal and run one to your bass amp. it does not affect the voltage in the RCA signal. i think your amp is trying to send a signal instead of receiving one.

I HAVE A 1994 BUICK GRAND SPORT. I WANT TO HOOK A STERIO UP BUT THE STERIO THAT CAME WITH THE BUICK HAS A DOUBLE COMMPONET SET UP . HOW DO I BYPASS THAT AND HOOK UP THE CD PLAYER TO THE SPEAKERS?

1) Understand the basics of all car stereo systems. A car stereo system consists of 4 main components and the wiring that connects them. These are the head unit, the main speakers, optional amplifiers and the subwoofers, which are also optional but generally considered a necessary part of any good system. 2) Know that the core of any car stereo is the head unit, which is the cassette or CD player that goes in the dash. All the other components are connected to the head unit by at least one pair of wires. 3) Know about car speakers. The main speakers are usually 2 in the front and 2 in the back, although with what are known as component speakers, each speaker is broken down into two speakers: one for the highs and one for the bass. Each speaker or speaker set (known as a channel) connects to the head unit via a pair of wires. Generally if you are installing a new head unit you want to install new speakers. 4) Know about amplifiers. Amplifiers provide extra power to your speakers and/or extra channels of power for additional speakers. The most common use for an amplifier (amp) is to power subwoofers. The amp connects to your head unit via an RCA cable and often a "remote on" wire, and also connects directly to your car battery through a fused "hot" wire and to the car's chassis with a short ground wire. This article assumes the use of a single amplifier connected to a pair of subwoofers. If you do not have these components simply ignore the steps specific to the amp, doing so will not affect the rest of your installation. 5) Know about subwoofers. Subwoofers are part of any good stereo system. They provide the deep bass that small speakers cannot achieve. Subwoofers are connected to the amplifier which can usually be mounted right to the subwoofer box. If you do not have subwoofers you can simply ignore the steps specific to them. Hi, I'm trying to install a sub and amp in my 2006 ram w/OE head unit. What wires do I have to tap into to get speaker output? Thanks, Chris

You'll need power from the battery to your amp (you may be able to find a spare one at the head unit), and, using suitably thick wire, connect those to the 12vDC input of the amp.

If the amplifier accepts speaker level inputs, you can connect the amplifier input to the head unit output (maybe use the rear speaker output). At the other end of the amp, connect your subwoofer. If there's only one, use the amp bridged (more power). If you're using two, and your amp has 2 channels, use one channel per subwoofer. When you power all this up, turn the volume up from 0 slowly - if anything sounds wrong, turn it back down and switch it all off. Check all your wires and start again.

My stereo and display is not working in my seat ibiza 1.9 sdi w reg 2000 the display also shows you the heat and speed you select and the clock, the heater controls still work.

Check the fuses first off,
Frayed wire connections or rats nest's cause quite a few problems,
Check your positive terminal post for bad corrosion or faulty connections. If you are running after market subs or amps try dissconecting temporarily because your bettery may not be able to crank out enought power, and your alternator most likely can't keep up, check your ground cable for any damage,
If you have ever boosted the car OR removed the battery with internal display on you may have overloaded the system and in that case your screwed.
Im not too familiar with seat
but I hope this helps you figure it out. good luck

I have an Mk3 seat ibiza, and want to relocate a new head unit

I have the same problem and have been looking around, i have found a fascia, it looks like you can take the bottom part out and put a standard sized head unit under the heating controls. however it doesn't look like you can take it apart in sections, if i find out how its done i'll leave another post, here is the link to the site i found the fascias on, you can have a look and see what you think.....
