Question about Pioneer AVH-5700DVD DVD AV HEADUNIT AVH5700 Car Video Player

1 Answer

Pionner cd-iu200v plays video from Iphone, no picture on avh4100

I recently had the Pioneer avh4100dvd installed with the Pioneer cd-iu200v adapter for my Iphone or Ipod. My problems are:
On IPOD (80 gig, about 3 years old): plays music and album covers come in good, but the movies or videos do not play.
On IPhone (3G): Plays all music and album covers, plays movies or videos, although no picture, only sound.

Is there a setting I have to change on the head unit for this to happen? The car should be assumed in park and not in motion.

Check the initial settings menu (you will probably have to reset the system to get it to reappear) and set the aux 1 to IPOD. This will let the ipod video play via the aux 1 just like it is supposed to. This solution is buried in the manual but is really hard to pull together.

You can purchase an adapter that goes into cassette player.

I have a pioneer dehp6800mp and i want to install a ipod adapter cable, will the pioneer cd i 200 work? and will it also charge my ipod while its plugged in?

You would need the Pioneer CDIB100 iPod adapter instead.
It might charge your iPod, but it does not charge some iPod devices such as the Nano, iPod Touch, and iPhone.

I have an Avh-p4100 and the IU200V cable. My DVD was playing the videos, but now it simply doesn´t play videos anymore. The cable´s plug is right conected back the DVD, and in the initial menu,...

Try resetting the unit using a pen. While powered on, click the reset button and this should resolve your problem. If it doesn't the problem maybe related to parking brake cable not being connected properly.

I have a pioneer AVH-P4100DVD receiver and I have an i-pod touch. I connected it to the head unit w/ the CD-IU200V cord and I can here music but I can't watch my movies off of it.

Shut the radio off. Touch top right of screen. Once done, hit AV Menue. Initial Setup. AUX1. Switch to Ipod. Once done should work. If not make sure the 3mm jack is plugged into the aux input into the back.
